At Renew Oxford in June 2022, people from nearly 20 local churches gathered to seek a better future for the city, and asked, “How can we play our best part in that future?” From that day, three main themes emerged as focuses for action. One of these was the development of a common vision that would aid collaboration between Love Oxford churches.

So, in June 2023, with people from a similarly wide range of churches gathered together, a draft ‘manifesto’ was presented for comment. This is that manifesto.

The text received widespread support, and some specific suggestions were made that could improve it further. We are still processing all that feedback, and will also consult churches through other routes, before publishing a slightly updated version in due course.
