Introducing: Lloyd Cooke

We are looking forward to hearing from guest speaker Lloyd Cooke at Renew Oxford in June.

Lloyd is the Chief Executive of Saltbox, a charity in Stoke-on-Trent that provides support for local churches, Christian ministries and faith groups, and facilitates partnership between churches, the public sector, and voluntary and community sectors.

Saltbox organises many united Christian prayer and missions initiatives, plus events such as the annual Stoke-on-Trent Civic Prayer Breakfast, and employs over 40 staff in three local caring services seeking to aid vulnerable people – Restart (ex-offenders), Carelink (elderly people) and Money Matters (debt recovery).

Lloyd is a national advisor for the Gather Movement and has previously been an advisor for the Cinnamon Network. He is also a Methodist lay preacher, and chair of the Lichfield Cathedral Council.

We’re looking forward to hearing from Lloyd about the change that is possible, as Christians and churches develop a vision to work for the renewal of their city. He will have plenty of stories to share, and insights to help us, as we seem to be a blessing to our city.
